Emergencies

Messenger has been widely used for emergency communication and has proved itself to be both robust and inexpensive. From 'routine' closures due to bad weather or equipment breakdowns to major events such as the July 7th bombings and the Buncefield oil depot fire, Messenger has helped schools keep parents informed.

Messenger also ensures that schools comply with the criteria set out in the Government's "Planning For Emergencies" document, published in 2004, which requires "all schools to have plans to cope with local emergencies such as fire and flood".
