Groupcall Messenger

Messenger allows schools to simultaneously send voice or text messages to the landlines or mobile phones of parents, staff or other contacts in any language for a low monthly subscription fee. It also offers the facility to send emails. This is being used in hundreds of nursery, primary and secondary schools around the UK to monitor absence, enhance the safety of pupils, provide rapid contact with parents in the event of an emergency and generally improve communication with parents and other stakeholders.

  • It is the only system which reads data live and in real-time from all major school management systems.
  • It enables all absences to be quickly investigated to ensure they are genuine and known about by parents
  • It is vastly improving ease of contact between school and parent
  • It reduces administration time spent on the telephone and saves on telephone costs.
  • It provides an inexpensive and robust method of contacting all or groups of parents in the event of an emergency or change to the normal school day.

Messenger is available on subscription without major upfront investment. Customers are not tied to long-term contracts. They need no hardware or specialised infrastructure to use the system because this is all centralised and managed by us. Subscriptions are low and scaled to the size of the school. Typically, they equate to £1 per pupil per year.

Groupcall Messenger is the only system of its kind to read data live and in real-time from all major school management systems. This can include pupil, staff and attendance data, whilst contact lists for "special interest" groups, eg. governors, the football team etc, can easily be configured.

Each school keeps a library of pre-recorded voice and text messages in various languages that can be used at any time to contact parents. The voice library is easy to maintain and facilities are provided to make new recordings or change existing ones. The system comes pre-installed with a number of standard recordings including 'First Day Contact' messages. The school's name is automatically included in any message sent.

Voice facilities within the Messenger system mean that parents can be required to respond to any message. The automated call system can be set up to continue calling parents until an acceptable response has been received. Responses to all messages are automatically brought back into the Messenger system at school and can be retained for as long as necessary.
