June 2009 - Perspective and Groupcall launch the UK's first 14-19 solution using SIF

Perspective, a UK software solution provider specialising in web-based training and learning solutions, has signed a partnership deal with Groupcall, a leading supplier of Parental Communications Systems and Data Extraction Services for the Education sector, to provide Systems Interoperability Framework (SIF) solutions to the UK 14-19 market place, the first such partnership in the UK able to offer an end-to-end 14-19 solution based on SIF.

As the sole provider of SIF agents for the City of Birmingham, Groupcall has chosen to partner with Perspective due to the flexibility of their software solutions that enable a clear progression path able to respond to the requirements of the ever growing and changing collaborative approach within the 14 – 19 curriculum market place.
SIF is an industry standard for interoperability that makes it possible for systems to communicate and share data, without any additional programming.

Stuart Abrahams, Director of Business Development at Groupcall, commented: "SIF is an invaluable tool to ensure that management systems are able to communicate with one another to automate what are laborious and time consuming manual processes. Our new partnership with Perspective will allow us to provide an end-to-end SIF solution including automated delivery of specific student data to the 14-19 Perspective CLM system which will save our mutual clients endless hours of data entry. The capability to write-back attendance information to school MIS systems when attendance is taken at other locations means this is a complete answer to the technological requirements posed by the 14-19 Agenda".
